Welcome to Bret Harte Elementary School's website. 

As we enter a new school year, I am excited about some of the opportunities that will be provided for the students. One of the goals for this year is to maximize the website in order to ensure that parents, teachers, students and the community at large are aware of the events that we have to offer. We are committed to providing students with a rich educational experience at Bret Harte School. The vision for our students is that they will become lifelong readers and writers, problem-solvers, and theory-builders through an emphasis on literacy, mathematics, and science.

Parents are always welcome at Bret Harte School. There are many ways to contribute to your child's success by volunteering at the school. Attending L.S.C. and P.T.A. meetings, actively participating with parent or school sponsored events, serving as a chaperone for a field trip are excellent ways to become more involved. This school year, we will offer additional workshops and parent nights in order to create a connection between home and school by assisting parents with strategies that work with their children. Throughout the year, you will receive monthly newsletters, weekly reminders, automated phone messages regarding upcoming events.

Building relationships amongst the administration, parents, teachers, students andthe community is vital to the success of our school. Thank you for being a part of the Bret Harte Family. I look forward to working with you and your children this school year.
